Welcome to the ‘Global Catholic Climate Movement’ website and affiliated widgets (collectively described as “Website”) powered by the ChangeFactor software platform, a project of Sustainable Markets Foundation (“Sponsor” or “We”), a corporation tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, on behalf of the Global Catholic Climate Movement (“Primary Party”) and other participating organizations listed on the Website (“Collaborating Parties”). Sponsor, Primary Party and Collaborating Parties are collectively known as “Participating Parties”.
“Personal Information” means information that alone or when in combination with other information may be used to readily identify, contact, or locate you, such as: name, address, email address, photograph, or phone number. We do not consider Personal Information to include information that has been anonymized or aggregated, thus preventing a third party from identifying a specific individual.

I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect two kinds of information: personal information that you choose to supply us, and non-personal information, such as your IP address.
Personally Identifiable Information
If you subscribe to an email newsletter, request additional information from a Participating Party, submit a donation online, sign a petition or participate in any of the other services on the site that require personal information, we may request your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, birth year, eligibility to vote, or other information, in order to respond to your inquiries.
If you send an online e-card to an individual we may request your name, email address and/or postal address, as well as the name and email address of the individual to whom you wish to send the postcard. We may collect and store the information you choose to provide us to send you updates and related opportunities. If you make a donation to an organization by using our Services, we will collect the necessary financial information and store some information you choose to provide, including name, mailing address and email address. We will not disclose financial information except as necessary to fulfill your donation requests. We collect financial information in a secure manner and discard such financial information after processing.
From time to time, we may request information from you via online polls, surveys, contests, or other opportunities. Participation in these promotions is completely voluntary. You have a choice whether or not to disclose information required to enter. Information requested may include personal contact information such as your name, mailing address and email address.
We also may collect and use personally identifiable information in connection with outreach and advocacy efforts. In order to use our Services to place calls, send emails, faxes, or letters, we may require you to provide name, mailing address, email address and other relevant information. Participation in such efforts is entirely voluntary.
We may from time to time link cookie information with personally identifiable information. This will help us better tailor our Site and provide you with information or offers that may be of interest to you. On some of our forms, we may offer an optional “Remember Me” feature that can recall your information for greater ease on subsequent visits to the Site.
Non-personally identifiable information
In addition we may also collect information through IP addresses or environmental variables. An “IP address” is a number used by computers on the network to identify your computer so that data can be transmitted to you. “Environmental variables” include, among other things, the domain from which you access the Internet, geographical information, the time you accessed our Site, type of web browser and operating system or platform used, the Internet address of the website you left to visit the Site, the names of the pages you visit while at our Site, and the Internet address of the web site you then visit. We collect all of this information to allow us to detect broad trends and to enhance your experience of the Site. This information may be aggregated in an anonymous manner.
This site may also use web analytics services that may record mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling activity as well as text you type in this Site. This Site does not use the service to collect any personally identifiable information, and it does not track your browsing habits across web sites that do not use the same services.
II. HOW INFORMATION MAY BE USED
We may share limited personally and non-personally identifiable information with third parties that help manage our site and databases.
To help ensure that individuals only receive relevant communications, our Services include the use of unique referral web links identifying a Participating Party (a “Referrer”). If a user accesses the Site or uses our Services via a Referrer’s referral link, that user will be a “Constituent” of the Referrer and we may share limited user data of the Constituent with the Referrer or the Primary Party. We do not share user data for constituents of one Referrer with other Collaborating Parties. We may also send occasional messages on behalf of a Referrer to that Referrer’s Constituents. We only share data with Participating Parties as described above and will not share data with any other individual or organization. For users who arrive directly to the Site (without a referral link) we may collect user data and share only with the Primary Party.
Except as noted above, we will not share personally identifiable information obtained from the use of the Services unless permitted by the user. We may publicly display limited personal data (e.g. First Name, first letter of Last Name, Country, # of Recruits) on a Leaderboard display or similar web page. For petitions and surveys you’ve signed or completed, we treat your name, country and/or state, and comments as public information. For example, we may provide compilations of petitions, with your comments, to public officials and other targets, or to the press. We will not make your street address or telephone number publicly available, but we may transmit your street address to the designated target as part of a petition. This is a standard industry practice in such situations. In no such case will we disclose your email address or phone number, without your permission. We may also make your comments, along with your first name, city and state available to the press and public online. When you do give permission for us to share your email address as part of a campaign, we are not responsible for the content or use of your email address by third parties.
We do not sell or rent Personal Information about you.
III. USER CONTROL OF INFORMATION
The following choices are available to you regarding the use and collection of your personal information:
You may set your browser to: (1) inform you when cookies are being set before a cookie is stored; (2) not accept cookies at all; and (3) erase all cookies from your hard drive. However, if you choose to reject or erase cookies, your ability to navigate the Site may be limited.
You may choose not to provide us with contact information. However, if you do so, we will be unable to offer you many of the services provided on the Site, and your ability to navigate on the Site may be limited.
If you would like to opt-out of receiving some or all further communications from Participating Parties, either (1) take the opportunity to opt-out when personally identifiable information is collected, (2) take the opportunity to opt-out through links on the bottom of email or other communications we send to you, or where applicable, (3) manage your notification settings in your user profile.
IV. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We provide users with a secure server environment when making online donations. We uses industry standard encryption method — Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) — for secure transfer of sensitive personal and financial data between your web browser and our web servers, which are stored off-site in a physically secure, locked hosting facility with limited access.
By using the Services or providing Personal Information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Services. If we learn of a security system’s breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Site or sending an email to you.
