A unique opportunity

This conference will be a rich and unique opportunity to learn from leading Catholics who have “walked the talk” on teaching to care for our common home. You’ll hear from speakers who have concrete experience in divesting from fossil fuels and a large part of the event will be devoted to a public discussion where attendees will be able to raise their questions, doubts, thoughts and insights on fossil fuels divestment as a concrete prophetic stand to take for our common home

Speakers will include:

  • Amy Echeverria, International Coordinator for Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) for the Missionary Society of St. Columban
  • Lorna Gold, Coordinator of the Laudato Si’ Project at Trocaire
  • Amanda Hanley, Cofounder and director of the Hanley Foundation
  • Tomás Insua, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Global Catholic Climate Movement
  • Juliette Leader, Student Organizer, GU Fossil Free
  • Dan Misleh, Executive Director, Catholic Climate Covenant
  • John O’Shaughnessy, Chief Executive Officer and CFO of the Franciscan Sisters of Mary
