The Mission2020, a campaign to raise ambition on climate action, will launch on April 10, 2017 from 4-5pm UK time. It will be convened by Christiana Figueres, the former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 2010-2016.

Christiana will be joined by Lord Nicholas Stern, Chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics, Professor Joanna Haigh, Co-Director of the Grantham Institute at Imperial College and Professor Thomas Stocker, Professor of Climate and Environmental Physics, Physics Institute, University of Bern, IPCC Chair (2008-2015) and Astro Teller, CEO of X. It will be moderated by Steve Sedgwick, CNBC Anchor.

The campaign will anchor 2020 as our climate turning point, when GHG émissions must begin their steady decline. To protect the promise of Paris we must all fast forward to our important work to reach that turning point. Let’s not be late.
